I began formally studying photography as a student at UC Berkeley, where I studied cultural anthropology and documentary photography at the Graduate School of Journalism. During my studies, I assisted and worked with several prominent photographers. Upon graduation, I began photographing weddings with Richard Wood in Napa and Sonoma, and have since set up my own photography studio in Oakland. I photograph weddings throughout California, and have photographed weddings in Europe and elsewhere in the US.

My style of photography is greatly influenced by my love of documentary and fine-art photography. When photographing a wedding or event, I focus on capturing and documenting the day on film in a sensitive manner, so as to include the details, as well as the candid moments, which often make the most beautiful photographs.

My other photography work includes portraiture, editorial and travel photography, and my own fine-art work. My work has been published nationally and internationally, in such publications as The Financial Times (UK), San Francisco Magazine, and The Bay Guardian. My wedding photography has appeared in Destination Napa.
